He was really complaining about the below zero stuff. I told him to come on over. It was already 76 degrees when we got up and the temperature was climbing. :) :thumbs: All he could say was, "Smart acre." Well, that second word was a bit different.... Had to clean it up a bit.

Only a very little new snow. Looks like some coming though. Friend just called and said Saginaw calling for 5-7" and Flint for 12". Winter storm watch out for sure. I told him to not worry as the forecast would change 2 or 3 times before the storm even gets here.

We saw -3 last night and got up to about 16 today. The really cold stuff for us is suppose to set in mon and Tuesday after the storm. Might see 36-48 hours below zero here  Coldest weather we have seen in 20 years!!

Back when I was a kid,
    growing up in that country,
we called it "Winter" LOL

Was back 5 years ago visiting in mid Dec, we went & played golf.
Never did that in the 60s & 70s in Dec. (well & found the ball anyway)

Weather cycles changing around the globe.Back to what they were 40 - 50 years ago
You may be starting a 20 year cycle that winter happens back there again.

You know fellas this is starting to remind me of when I was little! It would be cold like this -20's and -30's regularly and we had single pane wood frame windows that would ice so bad you couldn't see out of them for weeks on end. The one thing we still don't have yet but I fear is coming is the snow. When I was a kid it snowed much more and was a lot deeper than the last 10 15 years has been.
The real feel was much colder Dave we hit -22 yesterday afternoon at work ( man was it cold ) our stove will be cranking for a while now!

"We" may be starting a cycle that the human race has not seen the likes of.

Now that I'm home and not working these days, I am burning 16 hours a day and keeping the family room nice and toasty, saving some gallons of oil, $4.17 at that....it's been in the teens here in NJ and not much sun.......

Here outside Gettysburg it went down to 1.2 degrees last night, about 4 inches of snow on the ground. I'm 54 yrs. young, and it's been a little while since it got this cold here. Now, a nor'easter or two coming up the coast would be nice, dump 24 to 30 inches of snow like it did back in the day, then turn the blower on, and wheeeeeee, everybody stops movin' for spell, 'cept snomobiles :)
