I received my gift, oddly enough it came from FHC located at the North Pole at some obscure address. I just checked the FHC map, and I don't see any members located north of the artic circle (although that in of itself seems odd, except for the fact there are no trees up there... what the hell would we do up there? I guess we could use a chainsaw to cut thru ice??).

Ain't that the truth! I helped my wife all day today where she had a table at a craft fair to sell her custom jewelry. She gives a portion of all proceeds to a few charity's, one of them being the National Breast Cancer society. Well, she started making jewelry as gifts to give to breast cancer patients a few years ago, "to brighten up their day". She got such a good response, she decided to start selling them as well. Anyway, at the shows whenever somebody comes over to the table browsing we mention the charity and story behind it. Sadly more often than you would think, the customers often say "I had cancer, my wife/mother/sister/daughter/friend.... has or had it". Whenever somebody says "I have it...", my wife immediately says which necklace is your favorite?" And when they point one out, she picks it up and puts it around there neck and says "It's yours, best of luck to you!" And gives them a hug. The response never ceases to amaze me, how happy it makes them, the big smile, tears and thank you's... Its a pretty amazing thing to watch, and I'm not sure who is more touched each time, us or them.

Maria (my wife) did it again today, and it had the same results. Made our whole day and made all the hard work worth it.

I thought that the first was an error then saw it again later and was like so is it maria? I guess the screen name is a combination or his name and hers?

My last boat was "Machri", current boat is "Machria", next boat will be our last most likely, and will be "Machrisa"
