For sure one needed gloves on today. Funny that this weather (we got to 35) seemed so cold but it did. That is, when I went to town, it was really cold in town. But this afternoon I cut a Christmas tree then cut some ash. It was beautiful for working in the woods. Looks like we'll be cold a few more days then a bit of a warm up but I doubt it will be as warm as what we have experienced so far in December. Time will tell.

Plan on cutting more wood tomorrow. I'll probably take an extra pair of gloves along so I can change to a warm pair later on. That is nice. I put hot soapstone blocks in the gloves then wrap them up in old towels. If my hands get cold or wet, that warm pair of gloves feels great. And, if I remember, I'll even take the camera with me tomorrow.

It was a wet day today, we had rain with the humidity level at 95 percent which made it feel colder.

We had a high of 47 today.

I know what you guys mean. There have been several days where the temperatures did not reflect how cold it felt. Someone else was posting that just the other day as well. (CRS here right now though.  So I don't remember who.)

But that dampness was sending some chills through me too. Usually 34 degrees does not feel cold!

I'll still take these temps. There is still no bugs!!!!!!!!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...and that's the only way I'm gonna see one is in my dreams....

No frigid cold in sight, gonna be one of the mildest December's in recorded history here.

It's 26*F here now, and the weather liars are saying upper teens overnight. I was working in Floriduh since Tuesday, and didn't get home until about noon today. The weather turned cold here Wednesday night. I did hit the switch for the NG furnace before I left though. It's set a 53*F................so the house was a bit cool when I got back. Just about ready for the second full load in "the little big" stove. House is back up to 65*F as I type this.
