I have officially retired until Jan 4th. Cooking off my vacation and holiday time. There is the chance I could get called in but officially, I'm done working for this year.

I feel like I'm on vaycay. Business slows big time this time every year. Only been putting in about 40 hours/week and most of it is catching up on maintenance and projects that got side tracked during busy season. My sanity will return about March,,,,, right around "go time" again.!

    Unfinished product.

    image.jpeg

55 gallons taken out. Gravel removed and cleaned/rinsed in baskets and drained. Entire tank cleaned/scraped with razor to remove algae. I had let it go to long.:emb: Anywho. What a workout! Moved, refilled, decorated, and filter and lighting system cleaned. All that took four hours this afternoon. Big job. Glad it's done!

Kids singing device on right to be moved. They don't know it yet but small TV for video games and movies to be replaced by larger flatscreen for Christmas. Then some minor decorating.

I only have to work tomorrow, off all next week, then a short week after that with new years day on Friday off, and a partial day on NYE day.

I need these 9 days off, then that short week, and another longer weekend. Then next year it'll be completely different. :lol:Lol

I work 3-1/2 days in the next 15. And they are broken up over that time. It will be a nice break. I hope to, no WILL have some leisure time with wife and kids and a few get togethers with extended family. Some wood cutting and processing of course, at a nice pace. And definitely some tractor time!

Yeah, counting tomorrow that way, I have to work 4.5 days in the next 17 days.

    Love it!

I will do some firewood cutting, hauling, and splitting in there somewhere.

That reminds me, I need to get my chain sharpened.... Maybe even try out my grandpa's old stihl top handle? I do have a beech that fell over last summer that needs its branches trimmed. :dremel:

It all pays the same for me...and if I sold a saw I'd be at 0 saws. Too much chit to do is my problem.
