ordered this hearth rug from plow and hearth. Pretty expensive but worth the money. 100% wool and very thick, and mama likes it.
Wow Steve, that blends nicely with the hearth and floor. Plus, mama likes......I'd say ya' dun gooder.
Nice looking setup you have there tfdchief How do you like that copper wood tub how much can you fit in it and where did it come from?
My parents had a copper tub just like that at our old house. After they moved up to the family cabin, I know it's just laying around with probably old magazines in it. I asked them for that specifically for Christmas. It's an antique, I think it was a butter or some dairy related item.
I actually have one just like that! Haven't ever refinished it yet. I found it in the river bottom while duck hunting once. Just the top corner of it sticking out of the river bottom mud and debris. I took it home and cleaned it up and it has been on the hearth ever since about 1975. I fill it heaped up and it will last 24 hours, depending on how cold it is. The copper "kerosene" can on the right, I made myself. The picture doesn't really do my hearth justice though. The color is way off. It is a much warmer looking hearth than the picture shows. But I am not much of a photographer.
