    Welcome to FHC heyswitz!

What model of manifold? There is 3 different exhaust manifolds.

Either way, you'll have to disconnect your pellet vent from the back amd remove the exhaust manifold. Take that whole unit out (it can be tricky) then remove the motor/impeller.

What serial # is your 50F?

Thanks Ivan, would that be from the seed cleaner Colin. I was talking with him about corn for $ 200.00 a metric ton. Or is it someone else. I saw you got some barrels from a different source than the people I suggested. Have you ever burned Rye seeds
before and if so what is it like.
    Thanks Old Fart

I did but it was the beginning of my burning session so hard to say. The chap I bought my stove from was heating with something similar. I would say a tad below pellets but I could be wrong. I cleaned my corn today and the TSC bags we're pretty clean. The other stuff Rooney Feed was much dirtier with stalk chunks and other debris. So what you buy at the farmers place, it might be dirty too. 6-55 lbs bag into one 55 gallon drum if you want to know(330 lbs).

I didn't contact Reuben yet. I am going for some corn from the other guy hopefully on Fri or Sat and will talk to him then. The way this fall has been it will be easy on heat anyway. Long range says mild well after Christmas. Just to pick your brain when you tried the Rye seed was it loose or does it have to be pelletized. Looks like about the same BTU rating as pellets or corn. Will sure be worth a try for the price. I am going to get a 1/2 ton tote of corn and will probably get a couple bags of rye seed to try as well.
Keep that popcorn handy will keep you posted.
    Thanks Old Fart

It was loose. Popcorn was for duct/furnace finishing task. Here is a pic of my air intake mods. I used a spray can and cut it up at 45 degree and aluminum foil tape together with extra on end for 3" connection. Just a trial version.

It's more for the Selkirk D-T/D-TM users on the Fahrenheit furnace as it's a tight spot for us. The exhaust clean-out just hangs too low for our liking, you need to do a quick 90* to avoid it:picard:The inlet/outlet on the furnace is way too close to each other and the vent used just confirms it, are the engineers involved taking notes

I would sure hope they are taking notes. they have a hell of a product from what I see and am reading about you would think they would have fixed that problem a few years ago. I guess they want us Old Fart Canucks to show them how eh Ivanhoe.
Now its time for refreshment :popcorn::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:.
Old Fart Gonna pick up some corn and rye seed tomorrow. And the duct work is almost done. Pics soon

    Even with a 3" to 4" adapter.. it's a tight fit.

I would still be interested via PM if you ever have the time :)

Old Fart, just a heads up. CTC is having a buy$2oo worth of merchandise and receive a $50 in store voucher tomorrow only. Buy 34 bags of Okies Platinum pellets and the next day pick up 9 more bags with voucher. The $5.99 each becomes $4.83 ea!

Well I finally got it together and finished the install to the duct work. Fired it up and let her run for about 4 hours or so.
I have to get my heating guy in to check if there is enough air flow for the cold air. There dose not seem to be much air flow
coming out of the hot air vents. I have about 20 feet of hot air run and 7 takeoffs from that. I have run this for about 12 hours
and there is a lot of soot build up on the glass. A lot of that was there after about 2/3 hrs of burn. Start up is automatic on level 3 and I have it on level 1. Check out the pic of the soot on the glass. Is that normal ????????????.
    Time for a pop or 2 :cheers::cheers::cheers::BrianK::BrianK::BrianK:

Did you install a backdraft damper in the propane furnace plenum?

I was wondering the same? Without a backdraft damper, your air will run right back through your furnace (would explain why you don't have any air through the vents)?

The furnace is NOT connected to the propane it is hooked up as stand alone. There is some air coming threw the vents
but is not a very hard blow just a very gentle breeze like your car heater blower on the lowest level. I will get my guy over to
check the static pressure. I will try lifting the cold air pipe off the blower box a bit so it can draw a little air from the
basement as well as from upstairs.
Forgot to mention earlier I picked a 1/2 ton tote of corn and 6 bags of rye seed to give her a try but how do you really test
a furnace with the temps we have been having. Oh well it wont go bad and there will be lots of cold winter yet to come.
Any thoughts on the soot on the door glass .
    Merry Christmas to all.

You cannot compare to the propane furnace distribution fan. You have two speeds to play with at least mine does. Try shutting some non needed registers, because of limited cfm's from the Fahrenheit you've to find a balanced sweet spot of open registers. What I did is opened the ones on all 4 corners of the upstairs level and opened the inside bedrooms/washroom. Then open some others later after you get a feel on how things are working out. The less, the better is what you have to keep in mind. Soot on the glass, we all get that. Your fist firing up the stove is a tinkering time to adjust and it's something everyone goes through. Someone will chime in with the newer model as mine is different than yours so I can't be a very helpful hand. Merry Xmas to you too, keep us posted on the furnace. We want to know the progress because we are here to help in anyway possible:cheers:
