As the saw breaks in you are probably going to find that the decomp valve no longer functions properly. I just took mine off and plugged it. I let a younger fellow run mine a bit in some sycamore. I had a 25" on it and told him hang on. He hit the wood a little close to the end of the bar and it about pulled the saw out of his hands. His eyes got all big and he said you weren't joking. Kids, can't tell them anything.
