    I split up some some pine yesterday and stacked it. They were some real knotty uglies in there. Other pics show what I've got lift to split.     Great that you got the pine and super you are getting more trees from him. But not so great is this picture:

    What I see is disaster the first time it rains! Just picture where the water is going to go and you'll realize quickly that some of that wood will get really waterlogged very quickly. But just a little changing of how you have those top boards and you'll be much happier. Just remember the top has to be done like shingles to all water runs off the stack and not into it.

    I was rushing to do two things at once in three different places, so I just threw that wood over it and meant to straighten that out later. Well later was dark and I forgot about it. On a good note, the green painted wood as has 1 x3 ribs to direct the water off. I'll fix it. Thanks.
