I wonder if it is free shipping on the whole order or not? I was going to order a bar from the Thursday night but the shipping was $2X.00, I was going to call them Friday but I forgot.

 

no the free shipping only applies to the chain loops.

yeah the chain loops will still ship for free, but the two bars i ordered (32" and 24") were close to $30 shipping if i remember right.

 

That stinks. I read somewhere, maybe on CR that if what your buying will fit in the flat rate box they will ship it with the chain for free.

I ordered a few sprockets and didnt get another shipping charge but I'm sure they easily went in the box with like 7 chains.

$9.99 for 72DL works out to be quite a bit cheaper than if you were to buy it by the roll and spin your own loops. Loss leader?

 

yeah im guessing they get a pretty good price on full rolls. ive done the math as well on it and theres no better way to buy.

I figured it was to get web traffic and people use to buying from them.

Like the cool orange bars. And the price on those GB just the shipping was kind of high. But I may look again at it?

 

I got the same error message while ordering so I closed it out and figured I'd try again later. Then when I checked email, there was a confirmation and receipt. Wait and see what happens I guess.

 

I think that the $24 is their "default" shipping charge, even for a single sprocket. If you call & ask them about shipping by US Postal Service Priority Mail, that will save you some $$$. I just wish their website had USPS shipping as an option.
