I would think so. Ive had people try to tell me that greasing the tip is dumb and that the grease collects dirt and wears them out faster. I ask "well why's ur tip getting in the dirt . At work we have mostly stihl saws and the sealed tips do seem to hold up pretty well.
Well , I'm currently working on that very question . So far I've come up with : 1 - no outboard clutches used 2 - extraterrestial grease is used 3 - Stihls just don't turn the rpm required to stress a bearing 4 - ES bars made just really well made ! Sarc switch ..... \ off .
