Caffeine time. Unfortunately it rained last night in the early hours of morning. I was hoping to do some ground work but that may have to wait. Oh well, plenty of other stuff to do. You guys have a good day. Hey. Let's be careful out there.

I posted this in another thread within the pellet forum. It was suggested that I might want to post it here also? I did a search and found more posts about sleds here.
I do have a real need here, does anyone have any experience with restoring this type of Ski Boose?

That's a neat site and he may have found it for the mechanical parts. I'll check with him, thanks! I need to find the black rubber trim around that Boose, the windshield, the plastic/metal trim on the underside of the gunnels.

He needs a new drive belt IMO. Anyone have any more leads?

I've never even ridden on a Ski Doo:whistle:. The sled's canopy is in fair shape and coming along nicely, but my boat building skills are being tested with this Ski Boose. The gunnels are broken on the front and sides. The right rear corner is bashed in, the bolt points for the carraige are so worn and corroded that each area will need to be taken back about five inches, the turned to dust laminated plywood has to be replaced and rebuilt. The gelcoat is all cracked and needs to be removed( all of it, top and bottom of the ski boose) and reapplied. What did I get myself into. :hair:

Got up before dawn to sit up by the woodpile no deer activity, some random dog I've never seen walked right by me without noticing me.
Coming back down the driveway and there is a doe standing in my front yard:headbang:

Applied for and was issued the building permit for the horse barn. Picked it up today. Started bringing some fill into the site the other day. The area is sloping and lower end needs to come up about 3'. I am going to make sure the barn is on high ground and that area is drained well. There will be a long gradual slope away from the barn.

    Slow but sure.

Still deciding on materials. Because it is an agricultural use the town is fairly lenient. Obviously going for strength. Want the building to be able to withstand high winds, snow load, etc.

If I cut my own trees I can have a local Amish mill saw them. And they have a few men interested in building or helping me build it.

I am still deciding and the most important thing is keeping cost down. If I can find the time to cut the timber and get it over to them that would save me some money from buying all the wood.

The more I think about it. It would be real nice to buy all the wood from them and pay them to build the whole thing!

Then I could just cut firewood and grass at my leisure!
