smoked sweet potatoes!

    tried something new this Thanksgiving.....took 4 big sweet potatoes, peeled them, put them in a Pyrex baking dish, added a bit of water, butter, and maple syrup, put them in the smoker at 180 degrees for 45 minutes, after that, covered with foil, pushed up the temp to 300 degrees, and finished them....a smoke flavor, pretty durn good!

    Sounds good! I do sweet potatoes in the pellet stove. Wonder if I did them in a dish, instead of wrapped in foil, if they would turn out "smoked"? :D

    probably not...too hot.....I smoke at about 180 degrees
