Stock 372xp or xpg wanted. I'm looking for a clean saw in good or very good shape. I don't care if the saw runs or not but I'm not interested in anything that has been rolling around in the bed of a pickup for 6 years. Thanks!

Thank you but frankly I don't feel like paying what a nice 372 with extra bananas is worth, so I figured I would settle for a stock one.

I would buy a saw that had an air leak and scored piston that is otherwise in good shape. I would not buy a saw that ran great but looked like it was left outside for 5 years. I would buy a saw that ran great and was in very good shape. Make sense?
Yep! I got it. Kinda like my wife- had what I wanted on the outside, but needed a little refinement- could she cook(enough skill to keep herself fed when single); could she clean house, errrr sort of (fine job when she was single), but does she love me anyway... yep! You'll find yaself a gooder lookin fixer upper soon enough, IssuesOr a low priced freshie!
i have two customers with 372 the one need piston and carb the other need crankshaft piston cylinder , the plastics looks good , i take some pictures and speak to them they want about 100 each i am not sure , i can tell you more in a few days
I have a good one. Plastic looks good. It runs fine, but it starts hard once it's warm. I didn't have time to putz with it because I was on a job with a time schedule so I replaced it with a new one....
$75-$125 for shipping. If the saw was only $100 clams (US assuming)? It's not a bad deal for one needing a carb and a piston. Good luck!
For me this what matter more is to have good crankcase is the base no good base no nothing , for the others have a ton of good and cheap aftermarkets parts on ebay, i have see pro saws that are all aftermarkets and work fine for years
I agree. The bottom end being in good shape saves a lot of time and money! Heck, Hutzl is selling whole bottom and top ends of the 372 and 440 now for dirt cheap. I've been tempted to buy and build a China 440 and compare it to an OEM MS 440.
If they are still available and havissues doesn't want one (or wants to split shipping) I might be interested in one.
I dont have build one all aftermarket to compare but i use many parts like carbs, pistons, clutches , until now i dont have problems with them , the plastics sometimes dont fit 100% but using a heat gun can solve the problem , and finaly i am not the person who want a carb keeping for 100 years
