to the cutting floor yesterday and today.
Got some Maple yesterday. Small one was across the trail, so I cut up the unpunky portion and loaded it, then pulled down the small one that got hung up on my last cutting trip. Got that one cut up and loaded and headed home.
Went back over today to help SisIL with a couple things, then used her lawn tractor and 10 cu ft Agi-Fab trailer to get back in the woods. Came across a small Oak that had about a 45 deg lean, so I took it down. Turned out to be rotten at the base, which is why it was almost down.
Found another dead standing Oak that needed to come down.
Maybe 1/6 cord in 2 days, but it's something.

    Good job !

That's more than you'll burn in 2 days, so you are ahead of the game.

Beautiful day today. Mid 40s and sun.
I can stick it with the MM maybe Tuesday. We'll be gone a good chunk of the day tomorrow, and I'll be one tired puppy by the end of the day.

I don't have any place to put it just yet. I'd like to split it and I'll let it sit until spring if I have to.

Not sure of your house set up papadave but your post made me chuckle. The last few truck loads of rounds I bring home each year my wife looks at the truck and says "ok dear, where is this one going?" aka I live in rural country but Im in town on a .14 acre lot. Thanks for sharing the pics!

I have tons of space to put it, but since the recent thievery, I only feel comfortable (somewhat) stacking wood in the driveway.

Yep, the standing dead is fairly light weight, so I expect it to be dry by next winter.
I may try to split a couple of the bigger rounds and check MC tomorrow.
This weather is crazy. Just watching the TV News weather, and the guy says how our overnight lows lately are warmer than our normal daytime temps.

Right on Dave. We didn't even get below freezing last night. Looks like about 6 more days of this weather then it begins to chill down a bit.
