38 and sunny here. Big solar gain day for me; already 73 inside. Letting the current load of cherry burn itself out
Looks like 34-ish on the back porch. Oil boiler should kick on anytime now. I shut the wood boiler off last night on the way to bed. Let it cool down so I can give it a good cleaning this morning after breakfast.
21 when I got up 24 now. Half load of maple/cherry. Not a cloud in the sky. Forecast high is 52. Will let it go out as solar gain should take over around noon. 2.5 gallon crock of boilermaker chili brewin. May cut a dead standing cherry today (more shoulder wood) that's in the way of a building project that I'll be starting next spring. 10 Day forecast looks awesome. More time to get ready for the real blast.
32 here, 71 in the house. Burning cherry and oak bits & pieces. Trying to decide if I should let fire go out ... my solar gain crystal ball is partly cloudy today, like the weather. Making some of this: Slow Cooker Chili II Recipe .
16 as of now.. Warming up to 33 today. Stove cranked down nice little hum from the blower. House sitting at a nice 72. Various pieces of lodge pole.
20 degrees when I got up this morning, very heavy frost, house was still at 68. I through in 3 White Oak Splits after raking coals, 75 in house, 31 outside. Sunny and temps in low 50's today, so letting it burn down.
36 now, Dipped just below freezing last night and then warmed up during the dark. White stuff forecasted for the weekend.
