Brandy new Dolmar 7910 with 20" and 28" b&c's. Came from the dealer with the SLR deleated. I'd say that's a good dealer! Don't ask because I won't tell ya who he is. Just a crazy old coot who hates the gubment and sells his saws out of a shack. In other words my kind of people!

I bet you sobs want pics or it didn't happen right!
Brand new never seen wood. Shiny!:

Turned it loose in some 32" DBH hickory and now it looks much better: 20151205_122709.jpg
Pulls pretty nice! Very smooth! Reminds me of the old 066 I used to run. Minus the extra weight and vibs that is.

Forgot to mention the dealer said he bought every 7910 the warehouse had a few months ago. I noticed that chainsaws direct lists the 7910 as discontinued. I know not the best source. These saws are slated to be re badged as makita while maintaining their orange color. This is a bit of speculation but, methinks if you want a Dolmar 7910 you better make it happen soon.

I heard a rumor that Makita / Dolmar are going to introduce a new 81cc saw. But there have been many rumors that have never came true from the dolmar makita camp. 90cc saw and top handle to the us are two of them

Yes please! I heard that each saw is bench made from start to finish by a single tech. More quality like that is always welcome. I'm sure the saws won't care what name they wear.

Yes they are made one at a time start to finish by one tech. The quality that they are and economically priced make them an awesome firewood saw. Now if they can get more quality dealers and serve more areas would be awesome and I hope one of their priorities with the name change.
Oh and that 7910 is one awesome saw wish I had bigger timber so I could justify buying one.

The guy I bought the saw from seems to think so. He said it was already easier to get parts from dolmar. Incidentally that's all he sells.

I'm not sure I needed a saw this big. I don't fell or make my living anymore with a saw. But I do run into the ocasional big azz hickory or oak wolf tree like the one I mentioned above. The perma-smile I have when I run a big saw is justification enough for me.

Nice saw! I like big saws and light but if you are a 2 saw guy one light and one overkill is the way. If your a more saws kinda guy like me one light and all overkill is even better! That saw fits the bill! :smoke::saw:

Two saw plan for now. The echo 500p went on down the river to help pay for this one. Great saw in its own right. Kinda wish I still had it. That is until I put the 7910 in the wood!:dex:
