24 this morning with the weather taking a crap this afternoon/evening. More of the wet snow/freezing rain stuff on the way.
17 degrees at 5 this morning down to 72 in stove living room 70 rest of house loaded with popular.. supposed to warm later in week at least using some of the shoulder wood
Yesterday was at same inlaws house. They returned and cut the heat off. Was 60s outside and 71 in house and they had the air running!! I was chilly!! Had to put shoes on cause my feet were cold.
Still really mild here. Burning 2/3 full load of some maple...white oak...hedge...and hickory each night. Usually get a 14 hour burn.
Didn't look what it was this morning but there was a 1/4" of frost on my truck. I'm guessing 20ish. Supposed to hit 50 today but the frost is still on the grass right now even in the sun ,,,, so,,,, me thinx not. Cherry and beech. Should get some solar gain today. Not a cloud in the sky.
I think we had 21 this morning, still burning Hemlock,Cherry and small Maple & Cherry rounds. It will be the same tonight except for the smaller rounds. Tomorrow we'll push in more of our shoulder season wood, getting near the end of it.
Currently upper 30's, but only dropping to low to mid 30s with rain/snow mix. Supposed to rain tomorrow. Maple, oak, and poplar in the stove tonight to keep the dampness away.
In the teens and dropping. Still burning this mornings load of Pine slab, 'cause I screwed up and set the T-stat too far back. Walked into a 60 deg. house after work. Dog looked grumpy.
Stuck in an inversion for the past few days. -5 now a high of 17 today. Feeding the stove fir and a little lodgepole twice a day. If it will stay above 0 at night I can back to once a day reloads.
At 0 I would be loading the stove hard with oak/hickory type stuff 3x a DAY!!!!! I HAVE A BIT OF PINE AND WALNUT IN MY STOVE FOR THE NIGHT. ON A PHONE NOT SURE ABOUT THE CAPS THING??
Same as us here. Were 7 f here right now but we've been down to -4 f for last five days. Got some good burning these last few days. Should warm up soon though. Birch, fir, lodgepole and larch all getting some time in the stove. Just enough snow on the ground to make it look wintery.
20 here this morning. Burning Pine and a little Ash in the boiler overnight. Will load her up with Pine when it turns on.
We pushed in the last of what was stacked in our shoulder season section, still burning down coals from this afternoons fire.
It is 32* right now and dropping steadily. Current living room temperature is 78*. Just added two very small sticks of 3 yr old Post Oak, just to get some nice coals before the overnight burn.
