It looks like it is still available under today's cyber Monday deals. Shipping I'd now three weeks out versus me getting mine Friday.

Finally remembered that I needed to clean all the cobwebs out from under the burner tubes for the propane boiler. Then fired up the boiler and let the water run for a couple of minutes to ensure no pipes had frozen (it was in the teens this morning, and 25 now - dropping to teens again tonight). Once all the pipes felt like they had warmed up, I shut it down and set the thermostat for 62*, just in case.

Since the FHW pipes run thru the unheated garage, although there is a fair amount of insulation around them, I like to ensure they are run 1-2x/day once we start getting in the teens. During the really cold weather, I turn on the Therm Guard and have it run 3x/day for 8 minutes. If we get into a real deep freeze like last year, I'll set it for 4x/day.

Got a quote last winter to winterize the pipes -$500. Figured it was cheaper to run the boiler a little bit. And since it took me $500 to run the Thermguard and supply all DHW for a full year, I say it was a good call.Plus I heard that winterization is hard on the pipes. My luck is bad enough I don't need to temp fate

Thermguard is a great little unit....used one in the previous house for a set of pipes on the 2nd floor that went through an unheated attic......never had an issue.

I checked and it was on the top right of the cyber deals - much better price than what was showing for the link that Imacman found. Course since I've bought something similar before, it might be in a different row for others.

Holy Cannoli - the Kindles look like a great deal. I got a Fire a couple of years ago, reconditioned for more than what they are going for.

BTW - if anyone sees a nice little digital camera like a Canon Powershot SD100 (or similar), let me know. My old one is starting to have issues.

Yep, I bought the same one for my Fahrenheit furnace to go along with my battery back-up system. Hopefully it switches over very fast otherwise it goes to the computer duty:jaw: Was $155 cdn, not bad!

The one I have in my stove currently works like a charm. The stove doesn't miss a beat.

Today is the 1-year anniversary of our pellet stove being installed. Worst winter in at least a decade immediately followed, so the darn thing has already paid for itself. I did treat it to a new combustion blower a few weeks ago, so all it got today was a quick cleaning.

Nice! The only link I could get was the one that showed I bought it lol.

It is a hell of a deal for anyone interested in stove protection and being able to shut down the stove, or have enough time to get the genny going, in the event of a power outage.

Guess that answers that . I do most of this on my phone, and unless I turn it sideways I cannot see the signatures.

Just wanted to make sure he wasn't replacing the combustion blower so soon on a new stove.

Yep, very used. Motor started rumbling. I pulled it and it won't even go 2 turns if you give it a hard spin. Convection blower is next, I can tell. Probably order one this week.
