    (Why wouldn't they use a saw bigger than Stihls smallest saw? The 170/180 is tiny :)

    The 180 is a seriously feisty little saw for small wood. I was never a fan of the "crotch start" method either.

    I suspect he was actually working on a recoil problem, but still scary as hell.

    that's what i was thinking. look at the cutting teeth. ideal for trenching. not sure how it would work in rock though cause the clearing teeth stick out further than the grinding teeth.
