On my new (2014) 562XP the adjustment screw only turn one direction...counterclockwise. It seems to have a ramp on the screw because as you turn it the screw comes out and then drops down to the next step. As I understand there are only three settings high, med and low. I seem to be getting plenty of oil, but there is no indication of what step you are on. On the saw it has molded into the plastic + counterclockwise and - clockwise, but the screw only turns one way. Does anyone else have a 562XP bar oil screw that work this way?
Mine is the same as Sunfish's. And mine is a 2014 as well. Are you using a tank of oil per tank of gas? That seems to be a good ratio.
When I'm almost out of fuel, there is still some oil in the tank. I haven't totally run it out of fuel yet, but real close.
That's the way its suppose to go... So that you don't run out of oil before fuel... Its easier to figure out when your out of fuel, before oil. Take the nose of the bar a little way away from an exposed surface and rev it up pretty good. See how much its spraying....
