    OK, I did enough today.

Who needs a wheelbarrow? After fighting with a wheelbarrow last fall to get my wood out of the woods, I got this handy contraption.
    IMG_20151127_155600179.jpg

I filled the trailer half full back by the stacks, then hauled it to my car and hooked it up to my Audi. I didn't want to leave ruts in my buddies back yard like this past spring.

Then I used the quad to haul wood from the back stacks, to the driveway to top off the trailer to the max. I think it only took 6 or so quad loads to get it full.

    Here it is full.

    IMG_20151127_162351005.jpg

This load was elm, some hickory, ash, sugar maple, a little box elder, cherry, and beech too.

Here it is all stacked after my wife made me a turkey plate.:beerbbq:

Should be a half cord. I'll measure the stack tomorrow. There's a 4x8 sheet of OSB protecting the aluminum siding behind this. It's gotta be, 5 feet tall x 9 get long. 16" splits, give or take. The cord calculator days .46 cords if that is really 5x9. My guess is that it's really a full half cord.

Oh yeah, I got the stupid pita window film on the front bay window too.

I didn't do the attic crap. Maybe Sunday for that.

Tomorrow I need to get at least 2, if not 3 more loads over from my buddies house.

Fighting a cold plus turkey day full belly hangover felt like doing nothing.

A few cups of tea cleared me up enough to get the tractor ready for snow duty. Lights are a work in progress, but the old ones are gone. Tooth bar pulled, all fluids a go, clean air filter, blower mounted, greased and cleared for duty.

Also, I need a drill press and a big boy compressor. Borrowed both from my neighbor today for minor work, looking for a lukem type deal on those.

Brisket has been on since 4:00. Hoping to get around a 12 hour cooking time out of it. It'll be the first time I've used an electric roaster for the cooking.
Halfway through a tongue and groove install project; should finish up this a.m. Very small-only about40 sq.ft.
    Coffee tastes good this a.m.

Been a very hectic week. Off to have breakfast out with the wife. She has shopping and a few hours of catch up @ her office (retires on the 15th of Dec). I ve got to bring some wood up to the house from the big shed below, then a afternoon of Big 10 football courtesy of both Michigan teams, "The" Ohio State and Penn State. College football @ it's finest. All of you fine folks have a good, safe day.

12 degrees out. Perfect for splitting a few big elm rounds as the dogs ran at the wood lot.

Hot chocolate in hand and off to scrounge some at the tree dump with just Doug.

Really good kid.. serving his country proud of him. but like all kids that age a little "young dumb" not meant as a criticism really intelligent guy just life has not educated him yet.. He came in late last night (early morning really) and forgot to shut door tightly.. I let dog out at 5 back door wide open.. 50 in house and oil heat kicking on to save pipes:bug::hair:

Wifes.. mother, sister and nephews in for 2 days. Just got back from installing a tree at local family home and dump run for them..

Yeah, some of my stack for this year has that going on too. The tarp failed, as I hoped it wouldn't.

I'll need to find a rubber tarp or something else for the wood I bring in this winter for the next few years.
