It was a bit cool out today, but dad and I exercised the 550 and the 445. We found a few red oaks and a birch that has been storm damaged when we were out walking his woods before dinner yesterday, so it just seemed like the right way to spend the day. :D

I brought one load home today, and will probably need to make a few more trips. Time to fire up the splitter. :axe:

That was a good excuse to burn off some of those extra calories that were consumed on Thanksgiving. Way to go:saw:

Dad's a spry 85, still starts each day by rolling out of bed and doing 25 push ups and 25 sit ups. We were out from 9 to 3 and he was lovin it :saw:

Yep! Very nice! My dad and I cut together as well, and he doesn't even burn wood! We do sell some and split the cash so he gets some fun $ and is happy as chit! Way better than cutting alone.

Great way to spend a day, cutting wood with your dad!

I wish my dad was able bodied enough to still be able to cut wood.

Treasure those times together - my dad died when I was in my early 20s - I'd give almost anything to spend a day like that with him now.

pql1, I was thinking about this post yesterday while I was missing my parents, and I came to the conclusion that your Dad is a marine?
