I have been so busy with the holiday, black Friday, food and family I forgot to say Happy thanksgiving to all.

I don't remember going shopping on black friday in just a long sleeve t'shirt.

Hope everyone had a great holiday. I smoked are turkey and got lots of great deals at the stores.

After several years of asking love what she wanted for birthday, Christmas, anniversary among other occasions and getting the standard nothing really answer I decided one year to go along with the game and gave her nothing but a card.

She has NEVER since told me she wants nothing.

So strange here - the main floor stove hasn't fired since yesterday morning. Was in the 50's yesterday and still almost 50 right now.
The downstairs stove have fired some, but that is to be expected since it is soaking in the cold from the ground. Hasn't used much pellet-wise though.

Last year I got 13" of very heavy, wet sn*w on Thanksgiving day and I had to butcher the forsythia next to the driveway because it was so heavy all the limbs were in the driveway - not broken, just bowed that much. Funny, I had to cut that forsythia down hard twice this summer as its limbs grew taller than the house; one hard trim was in July, then another about 3 weeks ago (in memory of last year's snow). I'm good if I don't have to deal with such a snow again any time this season :)

Funny, usually I asked for just a card - and was happy to get one for any occasion. I'm hard to shop for (even when I'm doing the shopping), so I just wanted something that he had to pick out himself. Bonus if I got flowers too, but not required (and usually not given).

What a difference an hour makes - raining and down to 42* - cold front moving thru so will probably drop a bit more.

Kitty would have to lay on the floor near the base and soak up the radiant heat. The dogs do that, just like they did with the wood stove.

My former kitty had a rocking chair with a soft cushion with a quilt over it that was in front of and facing the kitty heater (he was a really spoiled kitty).

Over 50 here and the stove is silent. I thought it was out of pellets when I got up.
