Found a great deal on craigslist for the grapple below....brand new, never used. Pick it up tonight, ordered the adapter, plumb it next week....
Understood. You will have to wait a week or so, but I will post some pics and videos once I am set up.
What would fellow hoarders price this at new? I think I got a deal at $1,100 right? Brand new, never used.
Seems like a good deal. I went a different route. I bought this grapple from a guy on e-bay, something like $400 and mounted it to a set of forks. I have a set of stone forks I like to use for moving brush. My plan is to either make or buy another base and swap the grapple between the two.
I see them at farm and home sometimes and they normally sell from $1600 and up so you did good! I believe they are 48" wide at the farm stores.
Picked it up, set it into the garage last night. Rather large, but hooked up to the hydraulics and I am looking forward to the final product!!
Ya did good! They were selling for about 1300 at the fair this year. and are at that price at Labonville also. You'll love it for bucking your logs, no bending over and the saw never hits the ground! Welcome to Labonville Inc. (tm) -
That's awesome! I'd love to have a grapple for my 1025R! It's a small tractor but I sure think it would be great for bucking like fuelrod said. It saves chains and your back! Looking forward to seeing it in action.
Finally got someone to do the cutting and welded I needed. More welding to do, need to figure out hose routing also, but it now mounts and works. Rear mount auxiliary hydraulics makes this a pain. Looking forward to hauling logs now. I will be adding gussets and supports before you guys give me grief.
I think so, I,just was itching to get this done and try it...I will use the hoses elsewhere later. Will research the valve options this week while I am at work.
As far as I know you can but it will probably be an electric actuated one. I have one rig setup with hoses to the back and one with a 3 function joystick. Its nice but after 10 years I have no desire to spend what it would take to switch the other one.
