Coffee and video games on Black Friday shopping. Came home with 18 bags of Lacretes, 140sq ft of tiles for furnace room, 3 films for family Xmas time and a Pannetone italian chocolate bread. Beers & wine on my Ottawa trip in a week or so.

I could be wrong, but I think the Thelin Gnome and Parlor Stove use the same motor for both comb. & convect. Don't know of any others, but other pellet peeps will probably think of some.

Nope, I hate shopping and don't do Christmas, I did get some foodstuffs at the grocery store though.

Sold the Jeep Patriot today. finally decided there was no way I would be able to come up with the money to fix it even if a tranny should magically appear (unlikely since someone else has been on the lookout for that exact tranny for 2 months). And, Really, the cost to fix it was frankly more than the vehicle was worth. Got almost enough to pay the property taxes I owe next month. Just put the sled on CL a while ago. I don't have a trailer and no one to ride with anyway. Plus, it makes me sad looking at it - and makes me think of 2013; definitely my worst year ever.

We got a good start on things today and got better deals than we were expecting. All online, and what we ordered will be here by end of the day Wednesday. What is left to do we might get done this weekend, depends upon what the boss wants to do.

Sounds like a smart move w/ the Patriot bogieb, given the rarity of that transmission. Hopefully you can fund a trailer purchase w/ the proceeds from the Sled, if that's what you want.

It's a start. Still have a few more things to divest myself of that I don't use so do nothing but serve as reminders of things best left in the past.

Bread machines are great. Still have one that I bought in 199x. Don't eat bread anymore, but have to keep it just in case I decide to start again. A sure way to put on lots of weight :D:stirpot:

Selling the sled will pay the rest of the property taxes and give me a decent start on a trailer fund. Be nice to have one. Or a beater car that gets great MPG's. Be nice to have a second vehicle in case the truck needs work. Tough being in a small town that is 30 miles from work - and the closest coworker is 20 miles away so don't feel right asking for a ride. Decisions, decisions, not good for someone who agonizes over everything :picard:

Thought you'd like to know the dolly is being put to good stove use again, got the Englander 25-PDVC on it the other day, so I can continue the rehab work on it / get the parts list I'll need to fix it together.

Today was a fun day, Got to clean the gutters and mend the shed door(slides) I kinda bumped when taking the snow blower out. Blower wouldn't start so I king of forced it out and nicked the door. Tore the carb off the blower and ran to town. Of coarse they don't have the kit?? Oh well its ordered and should be here by next weekend. Thought I was gonna get everything done so I could slack till spring. Guess not!!

While I was out saw quite a few caars with them green things on the roof's? A bit early for us to put up a natural tree with how dry this place is.

I'll bet it is happier with a stove on top - probably felt sissified when it was holding the countertop

Kid came up with a flat tire on his car. Lousy tires to begin with, so bit the bullet and went to BJs in Salem NH and bought two new front tires. Nightmare shopping capitol of NH. Lucky for me I know the backroads in and out, so I avoided the really brutal traffic.
