This will be a first for me and the stove. 8- 12" small splits, won't get close to filling the stove, but I want to see how it burns.
    So, how does Mulberry burn?
edit- my computer is getting funky, may not be able to respond for a bit. Don't know.

May not have to load it again for days ;)
Curious about the heat output too.
Hard to get a good feeling for how it'll compare until you get a chance to run a full load thru a burn cycle

Probably the mullberry where you live is same as hereabouts, gotta remember not to open the stove door before all the logs are fully into charcoal. Even then, rolling the coals around for a restart can get a shower of sparks flying out at you. The kind of that pop out into the fresh air outside the firebox and then explode (aerial fireworks). I kid you not - safety goggles. Awesome burns, better than red oak IMHO.

The 8 splits went about 9 hrs before I had to reload. Not too shabby considering how small they were. Yes , there was a fireworks show, had to jerk my head back.
Looking forward to trying a full stove now.

That's not bad, considering you only probably loaded the firebox about 1/4 full!!!

Mulberry is primo firewood. If you can get it; do it!!!
