Hey all! I've been so busy with work and getting wood put up that I haven't had the chance to post pics of my progress - here goes! Photo sizes seem pretty big, so I'll break up into a couple or three posts. I dropped 33 trees on my neighbors property in early May - then left for 10 weeks of work - then waited for the weather to cool before I started limbing, bucking and hauling back home. So far I've only hauled back red oak, with a little bit of white ash and red maple. Some quick pics of some of the bucking, filling my neighbors truck in the woods, and skidding some logs with his tractor. We've been having a lot of fun, but lifting the oak into his F250 has been a real workout - feels good though! Some of the oak I dropped were pretty darn big - probably a little over 30" diameter - makes for a lot of work but a lot of splits from a round. Cheers!
Nice job NH_Wood. Definitely lots of BTUs. When adding pictures, use the "thumbnail" option. Not sure if that allows more pics per post, but I think they'll load a little quicker for some folks with a slower internet speed. Those pics are super clear. Like Dennis, wish I had more Oak on this property. I go to my SisIL's for Oak.
