so my wife asks me what I want for Christmas this year. After reading these forums, I might ask for a MS 250 to compliment my 310 and 461. I was curious what ideas you guys have before I forget a critical tool for my collection. Thanks guys

Good call. My saw, but my father has it99% of the time. I get it long enough to sharpen and tune. Dig revised

I'd be after a MS241 before a 250. I like me a 250 but the 241 is just mo' better in my eyes.

Or if you don't already have a LogRite/Stihl Cant Hook, that would be a nice Christmas present too.

If mine is not going to be spending my own money I sure would like to get a nice 80-90cc saw for some light milling. I own a lifetime supply of ear plugs that I bought for riding my bike and got myself some nice chaps just last week. Wife insists I am impossible to buy for because when I really want something, I just go get it. I can't argue with her on that. I have had it happen that she bought a gift well in advance of a birthday or X-mas just to see me buy a similar item for myself after she has the gift wrapped.

The 310 is a smaller saw. I would go baby and get a 170

Are you thinking about another good Firewood Tool to add to your collection or just another Chainsaw?

I get/and do that a lot! Gimme "tacky, thoughtless" gift cards and I will very much appreciate them and the giver when I find that certain thing I MUST have! Mind you I usually don't know what that thing is until I walk past it and say "Hey I gotta have one of those!"

Sir yes sir. I am loyal to brand. I will say I do not put down other brands though.

This got me thinking as well, has anyone tried the "mingo" marking tool? it's a lower cost item but I'm looking for some ideas for the wife.

I love my Stihls, but more than once I've found myself running competitive machinery saying to myself "I can't wait until Stihl comes out with something like this!" It's been a long wait for some of it.

People tell me I'm brand loyal as well, but I think they exaggerate. As long as it's Husqvarna chainsaws, Massey Ferguson tractors, GM trucks, Remington rifles and S&W handguns I'm fine....

A Timberline chain sharpener, and a bunch of the carbide cutters to go with it!

If your looking for chaps, I recommend getting Chainsaw Pants instead, MUCH more comfortable, and you keep them on, no worrying about straping them on or forgetting/being lazy to do a "quick cut".... They are not cheap, but neither is you LEG, or LIFE, or getting your leg stitched back together!

    AGO Industries Inc. - Arc/FR Hi-Vis | Arc/FR Chainsaw Pant

Chainsaw Clothing | Chainsaw Pants | Chainsaw Safety Chaps - Safety Supplies Canada

I always where these now and love them. They are also nice and warm.

Your last sentence would make me not want them. I do A LOT of cutting in the summer. Chaps allow the back to be open for some airflow. Often times I wear shorts under the caps as there so hot still. I will soak through the caps and pants with sweat.
