I slow cooker mine usually before I leave to work and leave it on low all day long...I use McCormicks w/ Onion seasoning packet, 1 or 2 lb of Burger (prefer deer and cook with an onion), 1 can of Kidney Beans (drain liquid), 1 can of Red Beans (drain liquid), and 1 can of Chili beans (usually mild and keep the liquid), 1 can of sliced/diced tomatoes, 1 can of stewed tomatoes (or garden mators)... And if liquid is needed add tomato sauce. But don't add too much as it will juice up over the cooking process...

Well, I added some garlic and paprika to the already made chili and it seemed to help a bit.
Helped out just enough for me to overeat and get a little pussgut for the rest of the day.

    Mitch’s Chili
    1. One # ground sirloin
    2. One # ground turkey
    3. One # ground chicken
    4. 3 cans black beans in chili sauce
    5. 1 can red kidney beans in chili sauce
    6. 8-10 sticks of celery chopped
    7. 3 cans of diced fire roasted tomatoes
    8. 2 large boxes of beef broth
    9. 1 chopped green pepper
    10. 1 small bunch of kale, remove stems, massage leaves
    11. 1 onion diced
    12. Onion powder
    13. Garlic powder
    14. Garlic salt
    15. Ground red pepper
    16. Salt & black pepper
    17. Celery salt
    18. Celery seed
    19. Chili powder, 1-2 tablespoons
Brown meat, onion, celery, lightly season as cooking, drain grease, in a large pot
add all ingredients, don’t overcook, you want the veggies to stay intact.
Consistency should be thin. Makes a very large pot.

Sounds Great Mitch! I like the consistency to be very thick, but that is easy enough to accomplish.

Do a lot of you guys use celery? The only veggies that make it in ours are the beans, onions, peppers and the tomatoes we sauce.

I usually vary a boilermaker recipe I found online .
Lil woman got me a 10 quart crock for my birthday for BIG batches.
Freeze leftovers in quart bags for lunches later.
I throw in a lot of stuff. Usually start with 48oz of prego skettie sauce and close to a gallon of Roma's out of the freezer as a base .Beer is definitely a plus.

    I use celery as well.

Let's see..... Canned tomatoe sauce with no seasoning from our garden, McCormick chili powder, kidney beans(not too many), onion, red pepper, green pepper, garlic, Hamburg, Sweet Italian Sausage, Salt and Pepper. Sometimes I add Canadian Bacon. Seems like I'm forgetting something.
