image.jpeg image.jpeg Since this is the first season for our new stove  I thought I would get a new set of tools to go with it. I bought a new poker and wanted a coal rake also. I couldn't find one I liked so I just bought another matching poker and made the coal rake. So far I'm very pleased with the way it works.

Yep, A rake/hoe is an essential tool IMHO.

I am thinking that a rake is versatile enough to be the only tool. If you want to move stuff around you could just use the rake to push or pull it. If you need to remove ash, it will get the ash to the ash door. If you want to rake coals to the front, heck it's a rake.
