A large Stihl dealer in southern Indiana told me the 461 is no longer available; does that mean something new and exciting is about to take its place? I'm sure it must be because another really good indacator is that iy bought a brand new 461 less than a year ago so something great has to be taking its place!
i think that they go out with injections technologies or something , who knows , i dont think that they come again with MT just changing some plastics
He was a tester for stihl back in the day. Connections I would imagine. There is a reason those pics are not posted in the open like they would be here. Big brother didnt like it and told to remove on another site he hangs out on. So we keep that board private for members only.
I posted a thread about it here and a few said it was photoshop.. I think its legit Looks like a nice saw. No Mtronic on this one Pics taken from Cut4fun site.
Any guesses as to why they would leave the 461 replacement non MT? I find that curious with most other saws in the pro lineup running MT now.
Doesn't look like photoshoped to me-I think it is legit. I read some speculation that it might be a replacement for the 362 due to the powerheads size in relation to the rear handle but judging from the size of the dogs I doubt it.
I think bits a camera angle on the second from last pic of the lean. Are those metal anti tan per thingies on the H L screws?
I'd say that's quite the leaner.... Those fins are roughly 45* from horizontal.... What kind of gains/ characteristics will that offer, MasterMech?
