For Saginaw: accuweather saying now 6-10" NOAA saying 5" but they were saying 6-7" earlier. Only time will tell. For Owosso NOAA says 5".
For certain we will not get what is forecast. I'd be surprised if we get much over 2" out of this. A bit further south they will probably get more than was forecast. But, the ground is white...
Original forecast for us was 1-3 and present forecast is for totals of 6-11. A few pictures of our winter wonder land ... Pansies still smiling under the cold blanket A view of the stack scheduled for burning next winter Empty processing area and the tractor I should have put in the shed A view of all my stacks
So glad we didn't get any of that storm. No time for that stuff yet. Still have a few things to get put in the greenhouse to overwinter. my livingroom window looks out into the greenhouse. I still have plants blooming in there! No supplemental heat.
We ended up with quite a bit more than the initial 1-3 they were calling for. Here are totals for towns right around where I live. Did not measure here ... let's just say we got enough. Howell - 16.5" Hartland - 16" White Lake - 15.5" Milford - 14" Clarkston - 12.2" A little snow alien even showed up on my front porch.
They are tough little buggers ... curious to see what they look like after the snow melts. Nice to have some color up until freeze up and first thing in spring. My 19 year old daughter made the alien; at times, still my little girl.
We ended up with 10.5 inches outta the storm. Last night in town to the south of me they recorded -5°F temps around midnight last night. Such is life.
