Here's a pic so you can share in my joy.

The apple trees haven't dropped all their leaves yet. The white stuff is clinging to them and makes for a nice winter-ish scene.

broke out of denial and cleaned the vent today.
i probably could have gotten away with just cleaning the cap, but now i can do that for the rest of the season.
    praise be 4" pipe.
going out this afternoon to the best restaurant in the area for burgers and onion rings and beer.
this place and our pizza shop are the culinary saving graces of this little hamlet.
well, the restaurant is one town over, but still.
besides a few friends, the food is just about the only thing i miss from portland oregon.
thankfully, mrs. earl is old fashioned in regards to cooking.

And the tub/shower is in!!! Get to really get clean tomorrow morning (gotta let the caulk set up). I love my plumber! He was here 6 hours, installed all new plumbing, set up the surround, gave me new drain plumbing for my vanity (the old one, but I had moved it from its previous position, so needed adjustments made), took his time with the caulking to make sure it looked perfect, was a great conversationalist, and only charged just over $400. I really expected much more than that for all the copper pipe he had to use. But unlike the electrician, his parts charge is pretty much at his cost.

Anyone in NH looking for a plumber (after hours / weekends), PM me and I will give you contact info

Bought a couple bags of American Pellet Company pellets (made in Corunna, MI). Figured I'd give them a shot as they've been turning up quite a bit.

They're a hardwood/softwood blend. Very small pellets (like Somersets). Smell is good. Only negative so far is a lot of fines in the bottom of the bag. We'll see how they burn.
