Went to bed way too early last night so I'm up already. Pulled off the covers and thought "Feels cold. Better put a fire on" Checked and it is all of 11 degrees out. Looked at the temp inside...68 degrees. Not exactly cold.

Problem is I made a fire last night at 530. Just 4 splits of maple but I didn't get it shut down like I usually do, and got the house up to 80. Guess 68 is cold compared to 80 :)

Just started another fire just to take the "edge" off of it. Going to take Doug out for an early morning walk. I like snapping a few pictures of new snowfalls in early morning.

Here is a picture of my wood rack in the basement. Put it on the knee wall this year to save some stooping.

Have to relocate that electrical outlet above it...maybe I will work on that today instead of playing in the snow...maybe :)

Just finished the dump run for my parents and our house. Had just enough time to bring donuts and bagels to my parents and have breakfast with them.

Now it's time to take the kids to basketball practice. The wife will then take over when she can get there so I can come home and get to work in the woods! :saw::dex:

Yep, I see at least a couple in the gas well field at the back of the property every few days.
Four of 'em heard us coming yesterday and were staring at me and Casper when we came into field. I like watching 'em bound away. Very graceful.

I had to come in and get warmed up a bit. Been sitting on the tractor digging out stumps. (So you get a little cool if not dressed right.) Then getting rid of as much dirt out of roots with the hoe as I can and placing them on burn piles with the grapple. May have a fire tonight if it's calm. Wind was blowing enough last night I said the heck with burning.

Put the plow on the Jeep and pulled the trigger... nothin'... hydraulic oil on the floor under the left tilt ram. Looked in the res... empty. Must have drained out all summer, outside. Have had hydraulic gear for many decades, outside. Never had an issue. This plow is only 2 winters old. I'm not very happy but it sure could have been worse... if it just quit out in a storm, plowing, and had drooooled oil the length of the drive... ;)

Came home from work early on Thurs to help with the kiddos as everybody except me was sick. Now I'm collecting my fabulous reward! At least everyone else is on the upswing.

I dare not eat anything for fear of the consequences as it tries to determine which end is the exit. :picard::doh:

Not having any luck keeping water or ginger ale where it belongs either.

Dam. Sorry to hear that. Where do you think it leaked from? What kind of plow do you have?

I just got done loading my 18x7' trailer 3/4 of the way with some rain soaked/wet snow covered locust.

    I am about pooped.
8' truck bed is about 3/4 full as well.

    Digging this new trailer.
