My wife is complaining (shocker) about the fan on the Hampton HI300 blowing too hard on her when shes sitting back in the chair. I saw you can buy a rheostat for the fan that you can control from the outlet. Will I be able to turn the fan even lower than the low setting on this stove?

USMC80, I have heard the same as Dennis...that an add-on rheostat gives you a wider range of speeds...both on the low and high ends. No direct experience myself however.

hmm don't wanna spend the 30 bucks unless it does, the low speed on insert is the highest I will probably ever run it. This thing since it sits out quite a bit puts off a lot of radiant heat!
