Just wondering if any members have tried to infuse their own cigars? Over the winter months, I ordered too many cigars that I don't care for and would add some coffee flavor...or...?

What, if any, flavors have you added?
How would you rate your success?
What type of time frame am I looking at?

I have tried a few that others have infused, mainly rum ,whiskey or the such, but I haven't found any that I liked. If you find a recipe that you like I would like to know. :sherlock:

I guess that is what I'm looking for-a recipe. Probably coffee.

One that was good was infused with sweet cherry. I will ask the person who did it for her recipe.:smoke:

OK ! That didn't take long to get an answer. Soak a cotton ball in cherry wine, place it in a freezer bag with your choice of cigar for two weeks, do not allow the cigar to come in touch with the cotton ball. One cotton ball for each cigar. She said to try a couple of different cigars because each cigar may have a different flavor. :smoke:

Infused cigars (mainly the acid line now made by swisher sweets) are one of the main reasons the FDA is on the cigar industries case and trying to impose new regulations.

Correct me if Im wrong but what they really are going after is the fruit flavored gas station cigars (swisher sweets) and that style? I didnt know Acid had been taken over by them Ive had Acid cigars recommended to me by cigar snobs so I have always figured they were a pretty decent smoke for what it is and not really comparable to say a grape flavored gas station "cigar"

    Doesn't make any sense.
I don't think anyone now-a-days will sell tobacco to minors (children).
The propaganda shown on tv commercials with the brightly colored wrappers and the "candy" flavored names inside the packs and a handful of kids looking at them and saying wow, I bet this is good. They still can't buy them; what makes people think cigar copmpanies are targeting children? Vitamin manufacturers offer adult vitamins in gummy shapes, chewable, etc. isn't this also targeting children???

I have not tried to infuse cigars yet and doubt that I will, but it would be with coffee most likely. If I wanted the candy flavors, I buy some that I wouldn't have to light.

I've had some infused cigars before, but I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. :smoke:
