    Was almost 50 here an hour ago, it's dropped to around 40 with the storm that blew through.
    Oops, it's now back up to almost 44.
    Forecast is changing so fast, I'm getting dizzy-er.
    So, make an apple pie, or start a fire. Hmmmm

    hey I got my great great grandfather's vanilla ice cream recipe but really need an old style ice cream maker! puts Ben & Jerry and others too shame!

    I've been getting milk from a dairy cow across the road for a couple weeks now. We have more cream than we know what to do with...I'm in for home-made ice cream.

    1 pint cream
    2 quarts of milk
    3 cups of sugar
    4 eggs

    dash of vanilla about 2 tablespoons
    dash of salt about 1 teaspoon or it won't harden!

    The famous 1 2 3 4 recipe.. it's better with heavy cream and whole milk try to eat it fresh out of ice cream maker because it looses a little when you freeze it and it freezes like a brick.. no chemicals or air to make it soft. but it's gooder! :drool::drool:
