Chainsawr has good stuff for the older saws, but you can see nothing is "stocked."

He does have carb kits, chains and bars. And his business cards are useful! Dumb info I sometimes remember, sometimes forget, so it is covered in grease and grime but sits stuck to my pegboard on my bench.

You can have this if you pay for the ride. You can put your parts inside. Rough with a small hole, but the brake will be supported.

Husqy dealer up the road, $67.50 & he has to order.
Told him I'll keep looking, (but not in his store anymore ):p
Cost me another $5 worth of gas to go pick it up :picard:

Good thing I have time on my side.
    & it still works.

If you search ebay "Husqvarna 359 cover"....a bunch come up for $18 w/ free shipping - one from a USA seller.

I'd also check eBay aftermarket for this - might find used OEM as well - should be a lot cheaper. As for gas, I prefer to run mine dry - let idle till stall, then start with choke until she won't run at all. Saws start everytime after sitting for month and months. If you are going to leave gas in the tank - use some stabilizer and fill the tank completely. Run for a bit to get the stabilized gas in the carb and done. I use stabilizer in all my gas - even if I know I'll be going through it in short order. Good luck finding that part. Throw the old one on the bay for a parts cover - someone will buy it for the brake band, spring, etc., etc. - can get a bit back on your purchase! Cheers!

The local shop that has a bunch of old saws was closed today, pretty sure I saw a couple broken 359s there last year.
I'll check there & then decide

Not sure about getting an after market one.

Been gonna get a pay account for ebay, might have to do it soon.
    couple there , decent prices

That cover is perfect for no noodeling now. $50 for the clutch cover!!! Thats crazy. I though huskies had all kinds of cheap parts all over!!!!

I would want it replaced but would honestly think hard before I put that kind of cash into it. I would post in the classified for a used one or do something with maybe sheet metal and pop its and or epoxy and resin.

I have had a few after market husky covers and sold them , I am running one on mpg stihl now. It works and I paid like $10 for it so I am happy.

You need paypal, ebay is as good or better than amazon on lots of stuff. Amazon beats them on some stuff but there the first place I go to buy. All kinds of new parts and used for everything on ebay. I buy everything from appliance parts to gun parts to saw parts auto parts to belts and things on ebay. My last purchase on ebay was a handmade Amish leather belt from ohio. Best belt I have ever had. Makes the Carhartt belt I had for 9 years or so look like a china piece of junk.

Neighbor has amazon prime, can use his account & get free shipping on some stuff.

Bro-in Law a big Ebay shopper too,
could have him buy it then snail mail to me.

I have patience, options, & time & long winter nights to use up .

Paypal is a standup biz. They been around for well over 10 years. Probably 15+.

They were their own company then ebay acquired them and now since a few months ago paypal is its own company again.

I have no problems with them. J like them and want to use them. Since they control both purse strings its very easy to get your money back from a seller that wronged you. Have had ebay purchases reversed several times since I did not get what I wanted or what I paid for.

And most sellers will give you your money back or work it out o. Ebay cause they know if you had e a case and take it to paypal/ebay they will just back the sale out of their account anyway and they get double black eyes in that case.

Sell it on ebay as a professionally modified clutch cover for better chip clearance by the famous chainsaw guru bogy-d? Make sure to mentioned how many years of testing it took to get the angles just right and recommended for square filed race chains. Buy a new one and a 12 pack with the profits?

Found a used one. Same brake/ cover used on several saw models.

Where Nate works, he was out processing & loading wood.
Went out & said Hi. He was cutting log to load on the processor .

I dug thru 2 sheds full of old saws & parts,
found this on on a shelf with 3 others, put this one on the saw, it worked. $20

They said they can't keep up with the demand for wood. busy busy busy
