Just got done spitting some wood before bringing it inside. It feels good to hand split some. I don't always like the big splits during this time of the year.

My honey was off with her girlfriends for their annual weekend... had nice visits with my son yesterday and my daughter and the grandboys today. Grammy even got back in time for some hugs too. Good weekend...

The hip yes. It's feeling better. I must have bent or reached under the machine wrong or something. Kinda of goes with being in the maintenance arena...

Well weather wise the day turned out great. Knitting wise I got a lot done. Had a nice visit with Mom. Our team lost its chance to continue on in the playoffs. When you are 7 wins, 11 losses though, the opportunity to play even one game in a playoff was farther than they expected to go.

BBQ-ing a Tri-Tip. Just heard the wife yelling outside, jumped up to investigate. We have "creatures" coming in to see what's cooking.
I'm now on guard duty till it's done.

Drove out to the wife's sister's place and her husband and I rode the horses down to the Bunkhouse bar and grill for some guitar playing. Had a great time getting some riding in on a new horse and some some guitar playing. The new horse they have is pretty fast. On the way back to the house I let him run flat out. Going to be taking him up to Yellowstone next year so I want to get very familiar with him.

The brother in law and myself have been talking about taking this 60 mile round trip thru Yellowstone and neither one of us is getting any younger. I am 65 and he is 66 so next year we want to do this.

I split the rest of my free delivered basswood with my maul and brought it inside the garage.

    It sure is gratifying.
