Figured I would bring this thread back up over here on the new site. We tore out the plaster wall covering the brick fireplace and exposed the chimney. I had an insulated liner installed for the new stove.
Last week I put a plaster coat of mortar over the brick and filled in the opening left from the old fireplace. Tonight's progress was putting the stone up. Next project is laying the Hearth stones.
Looking good swags.... Lookin good. Can't wait to see it in person. Maybe have a brew and talk about the alien technology!
Started at 3 this afternoon, had to wing it since it was the first time Ive layed any kind of stone but made a few phone calls and got some tips. Turned out alright I think
i too have never laid anything so i have no idea of the time involved. i was noth thinking you could of started so early either.
