    Hey guys,

I have old hunter stove. There are many scratches and cracks. I’m thinking about repainting it. What paint is better? I understand that it should be high temperature resistant. What about the price range. Will be expensive paint better?

When you say "cracks," I assume you don't mean cracks in the welds or joints in the stove?

I think your paint choice will likely work for you. Clean it well. Note: I have never repainted a stove, so I do not speak from experience!

You know if you go to a automotive store they have high temp exhaust paint. You can also go to Lowe's and they have rustoleum high temp paint and then there is high temp paint made for barbecues. I would think any of them would work.

From my days as a paint rep. I believe most high temp paints will work. However, none will completely cure until heat is added. There will be a little off gassing until the coating reaches a certain temperature. That temp varies by manufacturer.
I am with Bushpilot that when you say cracks you don't mean cracks in the welds. Because cracks in the welds are just not worth fixing on a inexpensive stove.
    Good Luck
