Just got back the other day from my mule deer hunt in montana and am still off work until after thanksgiving weekend. I hope to get the wood in my yard under my carport and the winters wood inside. Some pics of the hunt.

Looks like a great time and good eating. Thanks for the pictures takes me back a few years when I was hunting the Jordan area with friends. Nothing but miles of open country to walk without seeing another soul. Congrats and thanks again.

I shot a whitetail with a very similar rack. The antlers hang in my garage with others. Thanks for the pics!

C'mon now Northwoods! We both know that you can stack wood right up to the bottom of the floor joists! And if you truly are in the "north woods", you won't have to trudge around in the snow when it's time to re-load some wood!
    Nice load of wood there!

Glad you got to go out for the hunt. Have not been able to do this yet myself but do hunt in MI. Passed on 4 different bucks yesterday but was not able to hunt today. Just as well as summer came today which is not too good for deer hunting here.

Good luck with the hunt Dennis, and be careful once you tag one.

No problem Dave as I have at least 4 people who have offered to do the work after the tag is on. That makes it very easy. One party last year I called after I got the buck and he had just got one himself near our line fence. He came to take care of ours first then we went to his which had crossed into our place after the shot. After the gutting, we took both bucks to their cabin in their woods then loaded them onto his pickup. He took them home. Brought back the backstraps then later brought back the antlers, already mounted. Great folks!
