Forgot to mention that I got a call last Saturday from the "associate" I was working letting me know that he forgot to have me sign one of the order forms, and that if happened to be in the area, to come in and sign it. I live 40 minutes away.....yeah, I'll be right there.:headbang:Jeesh.
I didn't get home until fairly late, so I called Monday and had them fax the form to me, which I signed and faxed back.
I have a feeling that pushed the delivery date back a bit, but we'll see.
Hoping for the best, as it's supposed to start getting a little cool.

Similar thing happened to me when I bought my kitchen cabinets from Home Depot in 2010. Fortunately for me, the store wasn't far out of my coming home from work.

Similar thing happened to us when we bought kitchen cabinets from HD in 1997. And ALSO at the Hurd window dealer that same time frame.

It was all gooder after the paperwork was signed. Mine happened to be one of the 0% financing papers that wasn't filled out properly. I didn't want to miss out on borrowing their money for free.

Not sure if you dealt with HD or not for your windows. I've had good luck in Alpena, but not so good luck in Gaylord. I thought I was invisible the couple times I've stopped in the Gaylord Home Depot and needed help.

    Alpena.
It was a guy my brother and I did some work for a few years ago, and my brother worked with him for a while.
    No financing.

Mine turned out fine too. We ended up with a 4 month delay with the flakey concrete contractor laying the foundation anyway....

I'll probably call for an ETA sometime this week.
Need to alert the help on the impending work schedule.

A little update. We were gone for about 5 hours today, and I had a funny feeling this would happen....
When we got home, answering machine was blinking with a message from HD to call them to schedule a delivery.
First thing tomorrow, that's what I'll be doing. Problem is, my brother won't be available until after the 12th.
As I'm always saying......life is what happens, while you're making other plans. Life keeps happenin' around here.

    Scheduled for next Monday. :headbang::thumbs:
    I'm wondering how to fill the cavity since the windows are 41 5/8" W x 56 7/8" H, but the RO is 44.25 x about 61.
    Anyone have ideas?
I thought I'd just use 2x4 flush with existing inside, then add some OSB outside flush with existing sheathing, then thought maybe I should just use 2x6 ripped to do that. I need something to nail the flanges to.
These were the largest windows I could get for that opening.
I'd really like to re-side that outside wall, but that's more money. Maybe springtime.

If he'd just trim that foam flush, it'd look darn near factory. :D
