X2, I only work weekends when its an absolute. But glad when I do its for some extra jingle. I wouldn't bother if it was for free. I put in enough during the normal week, So they couldn't force me to come in on weekends without being comped!

I was once told to do your 40 hours and enjoy yourself. Seems to be working just fine. Very rarely do I have to work more than that.

Heck, I'd take time and a half after 50! Salary/exempt sucks. So many people think it is a great deal, but not so (most people don't believe me when I tell them that it only means a person is making $455/wk). Only good thing is being able to duck out for appt.s without using sick time (that I don't get as salary anyway). But, I still have to get all my work/projects done, so put in extra time anyway. Which means, it is harder than heck to make extra money since I can't find a part time job that understands that sometimes I get out at 4 pm and sometimes I get out at 8 pm - but I don't know what days those are.

I could take a heck of a pay cut if I got extra over 40

My normal work week is 28-29 hrs (P/T), but have been filling in for one of the guys out sick and got 40-46 hrs the last 2 weeks. Time & a 1/2 .....oh yeah! But I got a bad feeling the guy may retire due to medical reasons......then they'll ask me to take his spot (F/T). Not sure I want to.....I love Mondays & Fridays off!

Boy, did this thread get off-track! :Yar:

My other choice, especially around holidays or when guests are coming, is Stella.....LOVE it.
