Glad to see you back brother.
I was wondering where you were and noticed that your profile page and avatar was no longer "active".
Always look forward to your threads and enjoy reading responses you have posted also.
After reviewing some of the recent threads before your absence, I found one post that may have been mis-interpeted by you. It was the forest gump image I had posted. In reviewing that particular thread, I can see how it may have been viewed as an attack against you and I assure you that in no way was it intended to do that.

I think he meant it was all gobbledegoop to him.
Desktop can be made to look like anything you want. It can look like a Mac if you want. That's just the UI (user interface). Change background colors, put up a pretty picture.
I don't spend any time on the desktop, so it doesn't matter much.
It's more about usability. When I install the OS, most everything just works. Only a couple "drivers" needed to be activated. Every system will be a little different.
THOUSANDS of programs that you don't have to pay for. Not everything is compatible with the Winders world though, but can do pretty much anything as well or better than Winders. I'm FAR from a pro, but I've not liked the way Microsoft does things for a very long time. Been messing with Linux since the mid-90s.
Adam is a proponent, I believe.

Exactly what I was thinking. Just how high is that, but more importantly, just why did they do that? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy fireworks.

This model is an L35. It is is what Kubota calls a construction grade Tractor Loader Backhoe or TLB. Built a little heavier duty than the others. In this series and years made there was the L35 & L48. Now in this series they make an L39 & L45. There is a smaller TLB similar. Tough little buggers. In years of my series they were a B21. Now they make a B26. Just one of the things I love about them is how easy the backhoe comes off and goes back on. Hangs and pins on back of tractor. Super easy mounting once you have done it a few times. And when it's on it is strong. Will pick up the the whole tractor and move it around and do some serious pulling on rocks and stumps. If your are thinking you will ever need a hoe, look for a used TLB. Take Hoe off and put your three point hitch stuff on. Very versatile. I like these better than an under the frame mounted Hoe. I have owned both. Kubota makes nice stuff, whatever tractor you decide on.

Beautiful machine for sure. It is heavier than I need for my purposes, I think this B3030 will be better suited for my needs. Either way, you are right on about them being a quality machine.

Sometimes I see a used B26 sell cheap. They are nice, strong little machines. The only thing with the TLB s is they only come with R-4 tires. Which is good for your lawn or finished off areas. But if you want Ag tires you can't get them on the TLB s. I always buy used. Search for a nice one with low hours that someone took good care of.

Usually I can pick up a nice TLB for around 20 - 22 with low hours on it. Really nice shape. Whoever bought it new paid 35-40 for it. This one I bought had about 175 hours on it! Almost new!

Well I got some things done today. The Kubota got its excersize for sure. 6 hours of working it. And it did a great job. York raking and back dragging really was able to clean up a lot of area. A couple more days of that and cutting more stumps down and I'll be ready to plant grass in the spring.

Is that grass watered or is there enough rain to sustain it?

When I plant this new grass in the spring it will be on it's own. No watering when it is that far from the house. So when I plant it in the spring it should still be a fairly damp soil from all the snow melt.

Just a picture that I thought looked nice of the sunset on the processing area. Haven't been able to get much done lately. There is a small stack of silver maple all split and ready to be stacked onto a pallet in the middle of the picture and a new stack of freshly split elm on a 6' long pallet at the far end of the picture.

You can just see my shed finally taking shape. Hopefully I will get the roof on before snow flies. :)
