My brother in law and I took level one back in 2011. It totally changed the way I fell trees! We've been wanting to take the next levels but we wanted my nephew to take level one so he could catch up to where we were. I hooked up with Bill Girard; awesome guy and a great instructor. This is from the level one course we just hosted. We will be having a level 2 at our farm on 12/6/15. I'll grab some pics of that class as well.
Then next weekend I went out, limbed the trees they dropped, and used Fergie to skid them to the edge of the twitch road for easier processing at a later date! I took the level one training last year, amongst a bunch of professional loggers who were doing it mostly to keep their insurance rates down. It was amazing to see what some of those guys could do. One young man flipped a good-sized black birch about 120 degrees away from a heavy lean, and actually hit the target stake with it. Show off.

Hmmmm just figured out how to get my big poplars I want to drop done for free. So I dont hurt myself in the process. Now to find a GOL instructor to put this on at my property.
