Temperature differential

    Looked at the digital weather station. 65.1 outside and 64.9 inside.
    Just not right. Only one way to fix that. Spalted maple to the rescue.

    If it was 64.9 in side our house the wife would freeze and would had a fire in the stove yesterday.

    'Nother layer or sweatshirt... Unless it has a damp feeling to it- not convenient to wear a comforter walking around the house!

    Ahhhh, an added layer means more laundry. Much better to have a mesmerizing fire with the nights cocktail. :)

    Nice and warm where jo is...I haven't lit mine in over a week now. It looks like this weekend may bring some cool temps at night, shoulder fires will be in order.

    We haven't put the storm windows in yet so we can cool the house down easier. I didn't want to wait to fire up the PH
