I hopened they put an end to this nonsense soon. I know it's been around for 100+ years but that doesn't make it a good idea.

99 usually write herself a note and leaves it on the kitchen table to turn the clocks.
I thought I would help her out and changed the alarm clock alongside the bed yesterday evening.
This morning, I realized I had moved it one hour ahead instead of back.
    DOH!
I hurried and changed it before she noticed......

I woke up a few hours early today. This started a few years back when they moved daylight saving dates, or maybe just a coincidence. Sun is officially gone at 5:30.

I felt good today, but it sucked leaving with darkness and coming home in darkness. Couldn't see to clean up dog poo. Couldn't see where I was stepping, and the dogs could only run within the light of the spotlights. I guess its headlamp season.

Your sunset is early than ours. Ours is 5:03 PM but our sunrise is 7:24 AM. Today anyway.

Backwoods Savage mentioned yesterday how dark it gets out here this early. He lives at the western side of the eastern time zone. His 4:30 pm is much lighter than our 4:30 pm on the eastern side of the time zone. I never thought of this.

Yes, we have first light here, so that also means the same for dark!. I call my brother in Florida and he has daylight way later than we do. But it isn't light as early as it is here, not anytime of the year. I just don't like having kids go out to the school bus stop while it is still dark, and the roads are busy with folks in a hurry getting to work. Our grandkids have to go to the end of our road and wait there for the bus at the main road. All hills here. The traffic is 45 mph but more like 55-60. Double yellow line, but it doesn't mean much to many of them.

I never really thought about it either until savemoney posted his time. We are on the western edge of our time zone and my brother is on the eastern edge. Same thing - he is lighter earlier in mornings and darker earlier at night.

It would be interesting to find two or three people who are in the middle of their different time zones and see if they all have the same sunrise and sunset times. They would have to be the same distance from the equator though.
