Pic 9371 is a downed Cherry I winched up earlier this spring, Pic 9373 is what I think is a downed Sugar Maple, Pic 9375 is what I think is another smaller downed Sugar Maple just up the hill from 9373, I have some other wood down in this general area that I'll check within the next week.

Most of the wood I cut today was rolled down the hill so I can split it.

How did you make out with those winds, any new blow down? We got much worse winds than I expected although nothing came down. Nice pics as always BTW.

We lost two Hemlocks, one was dead but the second one was a nice tree, I still have a few more places to check.

It was a perfect day for cutting, we have a chit load of wood (blow downs) on the top of that ridge, I doubt I'll be off it by next fall.

This will becoming down soon, I'll bring some cables so I can yank it down an drop what's standing.

I imagine this last storm dropped quite a bit from atop that ridge.

The stuff I'm talking about is two or three years old, there is some new stuff (smaller) that is down, I'll need to access that from the trail that runs along the top of the ridge.

Nice straight rounds with no pesky branches sticking out of them.

I did some splitting for my neighbor this afternoon but after I made my way back in to yank/drop this Maple.

I did buck it up but left the camera in the rhino.
