Just curious who has started burning wood. My wife started our wood furnace yesterday. We usually try to wait till first or second week of November.

It's been on and off during the nights. Yesterday temps here were 71 and today it's 55 , when the house hits 65 or lower I usually start a fire to get the chill out

Started September 26. Our *line* is when it's no longer warm enough in the day time to benefit from solar gain to get the house up to about 68 or so. This year was about 12 days later than last year.

The fall shoulder season started for us a few weeks back.....we usually start the stove up by the second week of October.

Usually, start a fire at 8:00 on the nights it's to be cool, and load it up before bedtime. A re-light in the AM when I head to work and she just let's it go out for the day .....

We've used only the Napoleon NZ3000 so far this season, haven't had to fire the 1900p as of yet......

I started burning about the 6th of Oct. Not cuz I needed to but cuz I wanted to. More of a stress reliever thing than a heat thing. Now in a month? Things will be a little different. The fun of a nice far might just turn into an all out fight against the elements. Time will tell.

Been getting a fire going in the mornings for the past few weeks. We let it die overnight cause the better half likes it cool in the house for sleeping.

Just lit one a few moments ago. I think it's the fourth one I've lit. First would have been about two weeks ago. Starting out slow this year.

The sole purpose of my Jotul 602 is to heat our sunroom. So we've been burning off and on for about a month now.

I've been lighting a fire in the boiler every 3 days or so for the last couple of weeks. Once the wood boiler comes on and the hot water heater goes off we are committed.

We've had only a few fires in September, quite a few more in October, now that November's knocking on the door, it'll be more and more.

    Prayers from here too guys!
